Obama's not telling anyone where to spend or not spend YOUR money. He was making a statement about fiscal responsibility. So you don't have to be "damned."

During the president's town hall meeting in Nashua, New Hampshire, he discussed the need to curb spending during tough economic times. "When times are tough, you tighten your belts," the president said. "You don't go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don't blow a bunch of cash on Vegas when you're trying to save for college."

I fail to see how this is wrong. Bush kept repeating chants of the "economy is strong" which gave people false confidence to spend above their means. We can't continue those lies. It's important, after such fiscal irresponsibility from the republicans from their control of Congress from 1994 - 2006 to the Bush fiscally failed presidency of 2000 - 1/20/2009, to STOP giving the idea people don't have to tighten their belts.

But Pelosi since 2007 and Obama since 2009 have been fiscally resposible? You can't be fucking serious? You are really saying that they were more fiscally irresponsible than Obama and Pelosi?
