Because things are going to start getting busy with all of the election issues, YDT has volunteered to keep the election posts organized. This includes the POTUS, Senate/House and all other elections.

If you post something and its not where you posted it, its been moved to the appropriate thread.

I have started separate battleground state threads for the states that have been identified as true battleground states. The number of states which are battleground states will become clearer but I have a couple of good lists. If you are interested, here is a list that compares the states identified by the Obama and McCain campaigns as battleground together with a list compiled by 538.com http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2008/06/tea-leaves.html The differences in these lists are interesting.

I would like to keep threads about each such battleground state on its own thread so that we can see the trends for that particular state. I expect that some states that are considered to be battleground states will cease to be in that category and additional states may become battleground states. There will be exceptions to this request in that some events in a particular battleground may well justify their own threads and if you disagree, please PM and I will discuss it.
