The following is a opinion piece. It is based on the projections of the effect of a bill currently being debated in the Senate.
This bill if passed will create a 7 trillion government slush fund over the next 40 years. The 7 trillion will come from the users of energy in this country and will become part of their cost basis.
This bill is a VERY bad idea and i predict the republicans will fillibuster this to death, as they should and if it gets out of congress this year Bush will vetoe it.
