Obviously some don't realize the difference between:

1) having lots of Military Policemen (temporary solution), and
2) obtaining a military solution (semi-permanet solution), and
3) a final diplomatic solution.

Military Policemen do not solve diplomatic problems, they try to keep the peace. They solve no long term issues. Put 30,000 policemen anywhere and crime will reside WHILE THEY ARE THERE.

A Military Solution, which I have never seen in my lifetime, requires the unconditional surrender of the minds of all people via military force. I do not believe this is possible in today's world culture and communication system. (It was possible in 1945 for isolated cultures like the Japanese.)

A Diplomatic Solution is always required to end hostilities. It is a compromise solution that most all parties agree is fairly rational and all parties can live with for generations to come.
