There has never been a time in history where people have remained perfectly civil when empassioned with issues that mean something to them on a personal level. So unless you want bridled boredom you have to let the chips fall where they may because this is the natural environment for lively discussions. We could always restrict topics to the morgue of embalming techniques. :)

Actually, I'm like you. It currently takes me a couple minutes just to correct a couple typos.

It seems the response time slows to a snails crawl when I'm trying to edit. When I hit the <edit> button, those little spinning dots just spin and spin and spin, but nothing happens. Typically the 2-3 minite edit time expires before I can make corrections.

As for changing the duration, I'm just thinking of expanding it to 10-12 minutes. That would give a poster time to count to 10 or realize that they have worded something badly.

Folks, there are several people that the long term members here are familiar with, who will verify this is my stalker. His destro name is stolen from a member a Nooga. He is on parole for computer fraud crimes at this time, having been incacerated in the Federal Bureau of Prisons system for such crimes.

His recent activities include obtaining adminstrators passwords through fraudulent means at a forum called Total Bluff. He then totally destoyed the forum.

I am officially lodging a complaint in this thread to My Lady Tart. I have been on a number of forums, where the edit time is much much longer. I am requesting the edit time be increased. If I need to get down on my hands and knees to beg to have it changed, I will.

I do try to check it, but for some reason unless I click on the preview button I don't always catch the errors. Also, call it a habit.
