I found this video to be amusing. rush is very upset at Scot McClellan and he got really worked up over the allegations in the McClellan book. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTa8lUc1d1A rush needs to watch his health. The Democrats need him to get a filibuster proof Senate in November and if rush strokes out now, President Obama may not have a filibuster proof Senate.

The funny thing is Rush is about 30% right - in his first term Bush was one of the most concilliatory republican presidents in history...they tried to finesse it but right wingers like Rush couldn't STAND it!

I live in Texas and always found the claim by bush that he was an united and not a divider to be amusing but sad. bush relied on a strong Democratic Lt. Gov. named Bob Bullock to get anything done in Texas and it was Bulluck who was responsible for running Texas during this period and not bush. The Lt. Governor actually runs things in Texas and the Governor does not have that much real power.
bush's attempt at reaching across the aisle were really very weak and stopped after Sept. 11 gave him a boost in his approval rankings that allowed him to be extremely partisan. The bush white house has been one of the most partisan operations in history.

Actually I not only "believe" it - it's true - look at all of the big spending bills he supported and got through.
In any event, I have no interest in defending Bush - just noting the facts and the ironies.

Bush has been anything but a uniter at any point in his Presidency. They've trotted out NCLB over and over again, but that is ONE bill, one bill that was not fully funded, as well.
Rush sounds pretty much nuts. He's spoon feeding his listeners stuff about Richard Armitage. :roll

My oldest son is a high school history teacher don't get him started on no child left behind he hates that. He helped my daughter when she was going through college with some of her creative writing stuff. She was in the military besides working at the VA trying to go to college full time. So she asked her smart brother to help. One day she called and asked me if I minded writing her a short story, I'm stressed mom I just don't have the time to do it she said. Why don't you let your brother do it I said he said he likes helping you with your creative writing............................No way mom she said every time I ask him to help me he ends up ranting on and on about what a stupid thing no child left behind is. She said some of my professors asked me if I was interested in becoming a teacher he brings it up so much. I said tell him to stop, she said I did and he won't.
Lol , I was talking to my son and I teased him I guess sissy is not having you do her creative writing assignments anymore because she said you bring up no child left behind in every story. I know she has to be exaggerating every story can't tie into no child left behind. To my surprise my son said yes with a little thought mom you can make any short story get around to the evils of no child left behind and I have put it in every story I wrote for her because I want to make sure academics are thinking about what a stupid program it has turned out to be.
I helped with short stories for the daughter from that point on. LOL
