that Barack Obama has, for the most part, turned his attention toward campaigning against John McCain instead of against Hillary Clinton?

I think he is doing the right thing....by doing so he will not only show the superdelegates that he is very capable of handling whatever the GOP can toss at him ( they have already focused on him and have left Clinton alone in the past few weeks ) but he'll also begin to unite the Democratic party.

I suppose that he will need to respond to a Clinton attack or two at the end of this week with Indiana and NC coming up....but otherwise, he's taking on McCain already. I like it.

I agree that this should be the focus. That is also why he has formed a joint committee with the DNC for joint fundraising and has announced a massive voter registration drive. These last two steps would normally be done after one is the nominee and here the Obama campaign does not want to lose any more time getting ready for November
