Thought of the day
Those that worry about tomorrow and regret the past never fully live for today.
The Rev

Question to ponder
Isn't it a bit unnerving that doctors call what they do "practice"?

Daily fact
Mageiricophobia is the intense fear of having to cook

Wise words, Rev.

My random thought for the day:

It isn't until you get pushed off a cliff that you realize you have all the potential in the world to fly.

Have a fantastic Friday! I'm so looking forward to this weekend. :dance :dance :dance

My random thought/advice for the day is that you shouldn't ever trip and fall on a 3 ring binder. Your foot will have 2 huge chunks out of it and then it will get infected and eventually you will feel like you can barely walk around your house. UGH

Grrrr. Microsoft siezed my computer. If I had been working on some important business deal, I'd be really pissed. I didn't know they could just take a person off line with no warning. I was right in the middle of a post and it was brilliant. Everyone was going to be impressed with my wit. Bah humbug.:rofl

Cassandra, I meant to ask earlier, is it your foot? How is it going? It sounds painful, and feet aren't the quickest part of the body to heal. I hope whoever stepped on the binder is better.

Issac it is me. :( It is so freaking painful. I have started soaking it since there is a red streak heading up the side. I did it on Wed but my life is so busy I didn't really attend to it as I should have. Also, in hindsight, perhaps flip flops without a bandaid on was a bad idea. I just hope I can get the infection to go down. So very annoying.

Maybe a tetnus shot is in order? Better safe than sorry.

It's good to see you as well! It's cool you will be with loved ones..I am happy for you. :)

How is your wound doing? I had something similar and the doc wanted me to soak it or put hot compresses on it. I could see it getting better by the end of the day. Sparks is correct...how long has it been since you had a tetnus shot? I believe they recommend them every five years. I just got one in December. I think the doctor just wanted to give me as many shots as she could and take my blood. They left me a little bit to run in my veins. :D

Sparks I recently had a tetnus shot. I cut my finger open on a can lid. It was the kind with the pull tab and it just caught my finger under it. 5 stitches later and a tetnus shot and I was on my way.

I have soaked it twice and it is feeling a bit better. I plan to put a warm compress on it in a bit. I have to make dinner though.

Soaking it is the first aid that you need and almost always works. Of course you were too busy to look after yourself. But try telling yourself that your children need you to be healthy. What would they do if you were laid up? Besides drive you crazy that is.

If that line keeps creeping up, don't put off medical help. Treat yourself like you would treat one of the children. That's all we mothers here at TPA ask. Now go put that compress on.
