What's DST?

We're in AZ. We don't spring/fall back. Right now we're on PST @ 7am tomorrow we fly out to NC. We land around 4pm EST. You know, we did OK in HI in Dec, and it was a 5 hour change. :shrug Anyway, there was a medical article on it and how it negatively effects the body.

One of our dogs wouldn't get up and go out this morning. :lol Poor thing, she's confused about the time, too.

The kids at the child care center are very confused.
If dogs and little children are thrown into jet lag just think of what this time change is doing to drivers, hospital medication schedules, etc. And the poor farmers trying to convince the cows and chickens to go on DST so the product will be ready when the truck runs.

It is a very stupid idea.
Just get your atlas out and take a gander at the time zones and see if you still believe that playing with the clock will help anyone.
Not only that. Over a quarter of the population works shift work so it actually turns out to be daylight stealing time for them.

I can't imagine why we allow our government to fool with our clock and throw a nation into jet lag ~ except for AZ and Hawaii who have sense enough to keep the clock the same year round.
:roar my mood until I adjust.

Matt; you forgot about that little weird section of Indiana that doesn't spring forward or fall back or did they get with it? :snicker

We used to have relatives who lived there, I'll have to ask them.

Our district used to have standardized testing on the week that the time changed. That's a recipe for success, huh?
