"• Three medications, including an antibiotic, were found in drinking water supplied to Tucson."

Fortunately, we have Culigan Oasis water delivered to our AZ home.

"How do the drugs get into the water?

People take pills. Their bodies absorb some of the medication, but the rest of it passes through and is flushed down the toilet. The wastewater is treated before it is discharged into reservoirs, rivers or lakes. Then, some of the water is cleansed again at drinking water treatment plants and piped to consumers. But most treatments do not remove all drug residue."

Hit 2 birds with 1 stone; clean up our water supply and quit over-medicating society.

We have a water distiller for home use.....makes 1 gal. in 4 hours...make 2 1-gallon containers, pour into a 2 gal. container, invert and use like the cooler in an office...hot or chilled is available if I turn on the button...my wife and I go thru about gallon or more each day...
No Culligan man, no tape water for drinking, although the water here is some of the best in the country...

So scary OB. We use filtered water but I always have backup water bottles.

Many locations are now putting the treated sewage water back in the drinking water supply.

They claim it is as good (for measured comntaminates) as the incoming water.

I doubt they measure for antibiotics etc.
