Chechnya touts itself to tourists

Tourists looking to get off the beaten track could do worse than visit Chechnya - at least that is what the region's leader claims.
Warlord-turned-prime minister Ramzan Kadyrov says he wants to develop sporting and other high-profile events to attract tourists.
However, the British foreign office warns against all travel to Chechnya.
While reconstruction has been slowly taking place since the war abated, experts say it is still dangerous.
The Memorial human rights group said that while the number of people to have been killed or disappeared in Chechnya has fallen by 38% in the space of a year, a climate of fear still exists.
