Just to pick a nice round number, consider you have $1,000,000 in the bank.
Everytime inflation increases 1% or USD$ drops 1%, you could say that the US Government essentially gets to withdraw $10,000 from your bank account for their mismanagement.
It appears that the USD$ has dropped about 3% ($30,000 withdrawal) this week or about 15% ($150,000 withdrawal) in the last year.
