A few years back, I worked for a Honda dealer. The majority of bikes I owned were Hondas, but I owned several others. Right now I own a Harley.

The husband and I are pretty even keel. Although it would be economically cheaper for him to have a motorcyle my stress level of worrying about him isn't worth it. Maybe he can get an ATV. :lmao

Where I live the area became over developed and the roads are taxed to handle all the extra traffic.

The weather has been nice, except for some rain yesterday. I would say 90% of the motorcycles are Harleys. It is definitly an interesting place to be.

I have owned one motorcycle in my whole life. I was 18 and it was a Honda that was just way too much bike for me. I was fortunate for the first few months that I had it but sure enough I got out on it one day when it was just a little wet on the road and laid it down. I walked away from it and felt lucky. I haven't been on a donor-cycle since.

A friend of mine from Savannah goes to Daytona for that. They have a blast. Hehe...she's a middle school teacher and he's an officer in the Coast Guard. :snicker

It is also a statement against the Establishment. The Establishment can kiss my ass.

Amen Nixon! We need more people nowadays with that attitude if you ask me! We need more people to stand up for all the personal rights the government is trying to take away from us. From the no-smoking issues that are forced upon business owners to making uniforms mandatory in public schools. Whatever happened to the idea of promoting distinct individuality? Guess it gave way to forced robotry!
Fuck the establishment! We've become some sort of pansy society that apparently, actually likes being fucked by our government to the point that our parental rights and personal freedoms are in jeopardy.

Reminds me of the movie "Legends of the Fall" when Anthony Hopkins says "Screw the gov't". :shrug

I'm kinda getting there myself having endured the last eight years of GWB. Wire taps, unjustified war, etc. has just eaten away at me. It is time for the people to take our government back! The government should work FOR us not against us taking our personal freedoms away.
The best hope of the people to actually have a voice that matters again is Obama in my opinion. He empowers the voice of the people, which our government is supposed to serve.
For the last eight years it has seemed as if our President completely disregarded the will of the people. It would be nice to be heard again and for our voice to actually mean something.

Currently the pround owner of a 2007 Harley Heritage Softtail Classic. Great bike! Best I've ever owned or rode. Put a hair over 5000 miles on it in 2007!

Previous bikes I've owned were all Hondas - 1972 CB125, 1975 CB350, and an 1983 VT750 Shadow.
I found this on the web and thought it was funny:

I had a nice Soft Tail up until 3 years ago when I sold it at the Rally in Sturgis! I do have a fast car, a 4X4 454 Chevy, and Horses! I drive the 4X4 up to the Rally in Aug, check things out, lotsa boob flashin, then back home! I found I was to busy to ride, so I put the 9 Grand somewhere else!!
This one and its for sale!

Next month will be my 40th anniversary on motorcycles....I like them all and have ridden about 30 different brands over the years(accident free), some no longer being made, but I especially like Moto Guzzi and own several of them, as well as a few Hondas, one Yamaha, one Suzuki and one Jawa.
I have a few mopeds too...but they aren't motorcycles...
