Weather Channel Founder Blasts Network; Claims It Is 'Telling Us What to Think'
TWC founder and global warming skeptic advocates suing Al Gore to expose 'the fraud of global warming.'
[I] have a feeling this is the opening,” Coleman said. “If the lawyers will take the case – sue the people who sell carbon credits. That includes Al Gore. That lawsuit would get so much publicity, so much media attention. And as the experts went to the media stand to testify, I feel like that could become the vehicle to finally put some light on the fraud of global warming.”

Nothing could be more beneficial to the global warming debate than a silly little lawsuit like this. We have the EPA, the NSGS and numerous other government scientific organizations already going on record with their conclusion that global warming is real and is definately caused by human activity. Something like this would set the 'deniers or skeptics' back a few paces and draw even more attention to the issue at hand.

I think that this kind of exposure in light of Gore's peace prize will bring attention.
I personally think people agree with GWing because they don't think much. They accept it and it seems plausible. Unfortunately those people don't think critically about geologic time.

With mans inability to see the future with clarity I doubt any court will resolve the issue. It is like religion either you accept or you deny. But like religion most feel it is better to accept than die and find out they were wrong, unlikely but still plausible.

There is no doubt that in the last 100 years the planet has warmed about 1 degree.
The doubt is that man is the cause or than man can do anything about it.
It is not decided, it is still open to debat except that leftist facist try to act like you are some kind of evil scum just to dispute it, even with factual studies.
As I have said before the fight against capitalism had to re-surface somewhere after the fall of the soviet union, the Environmental community is one of the places the fight continues.
Ever wonder why every solution to it is harmful to a capitalist economy?

This is exactly what i am talking about. There is plenty of evidense that GW is not a man caused thing. There is more evidense that the sun is the likely reason.
Science is not politics and it is not concensus.
Science is based on fact and fact is not arrived at by concensus.
Eventually all you leftist global warming nuts are going to be exposed for the fools and dups you are.

What is more important is that weather and climate models can't even predict the weather or temperature accurately for next month much less next century.
They can't even be sure if carbon dioxide increase causes warming or if warming causes carbon dioxide to increase.
The science is not exact and the idea that we should basically destroy our economies to ward off an unproven boggyman is crap.

Personally I would rather create new economies based on a more healthy environment than to keep doing what we have been.
Being on the west coast I get to breathe all the fine smog from China and would like to have some better air. We would be better off with a renewable source of energy that has yet to be discovered or invented. Nobody seems to be engaging that frontier at the present time and we have had 30 plus years to get the ball rolling. Time waits for no one!

Yeah, that's the problem with me and PB, not to mention that lengthy list of corporations and agencies, we don't think critically about geologic time.

It's only open to debate among the fringes, debating it is about like debating if the earth is flat.
You confuse your beliefs with scientific fact. You think "Global warming isn't true because I suspect that somebody has a bad motive". That is craziness, that is the opposite of logic.

I could say the same to you. Science is not about majorities it is about proof.
You have no tested proof of concept, get the fuck over yourself moron.
You are mistaken from start to finish.

I was expressing that pollution circumnavigates the earth and that even though China is waaaaaaaaaay the fuck over there the stuff makes it to California.
The ELF is another story. The methods used are far to extreme to be a viable organization, more like losers.

Oh you are absolutely wrong from start to finish. It is decided, it is a virtual certainty, and the disagreement is at the fringes. This is fact, Cap, and there's nothing fascist about stating a fact, even if that fact disturbs you. As for fascist :lmao you are just saying that.
I could say the same to you. Science is not about majorities it is about proof.

Science is about facts, and you are hiding from them.
http://www.epa.gov/climatechange/science/stateofknowledge.html#known
Scientists know with virtual certainty that:
* Human activities are changing the composition of Earth's atmosphere. Increasing levels of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere since pre-industrial times are well-documented and understood.
* The atmospheric buildup of CO2 and other greenhouse gases is largely the result of human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels.
* An “unequivocal” warming trend of about 1.0 to 1.7°F occurred from 1906-2005. Warming occurred in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, and over the oceans (IPCC, 2007).
* The major greenhouse gases emitted by human activities remain in the atmosphere for periods ranging from decades to centuries. It is therefore virtually certain that atmospheric concentrations of greenhouse gases will continue to rise over the next few decades.
* Increasing greenhouse gas concentrations tend to warm the planet.
Virtual certainty, Capitalist. This is fact, now we need to find answers to the problems, not hide from the truth and blame some shadowy conspiracy.
