Just to satisfy my poor little liberal head, please state what you consider your PERSONAL family values are.

Off the top of my aching head...

Mental, physical, emotional and spiritual safety
Respect for each other
Working together to attain a goal

Love and acceptance of who they are, not what you want them to be.

Respect would be my #1
Love of God
Individuality
Integrity
to always do their best
education
compassion
love of family

and heck I will throw in optimism, I would love them to be optimistic.

In the end though I think all the above listed things will allow them to follow their hearts. :heart

Loving and respecting each other. With love and respect come the other important things, such as enjoying each other, tolerating each other's imperfections and wanting the best for each other.

Realizing that our family extends beyond those we love and cherish as children, spouses, parents, and siblings, on to dear friends, neighbors, and the rest of humanity.

I think the family is the basis for a healthy civilization.

Of course what I mean by family is not exactly what all folk think. My family has two moms and two adopted kids and we did great... stressing all the usual: integrity, honesty, love, forgiveness, and responsibility.

What a lot of folk don't realize is that THE family in this country has not always been defined in the narrow way we hear so much about these days: mom, dad, etc...

In the 1880 census, for example, family was defined as those who at the end of the day share a meal around a common table and sleep under the same roof. I like that. That works.

Number one is:
God as the center of the family. That includes respenct and love of God

The rest are in no particular order.

Individuality
Integrity
Hard Work
Knowledge
Compassion
Family
Optimism

All of the things the Republicans say, but none of the things Republicans do.

Respect other's opinions. Don't be a hypocrit. Lead by example. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Be kind to animals.

Could you get the democrats to follow the same rules? :tartyI am a Democrat. I used to be a Republican until I seen their example of "Family Values". The best I can do is lead by example. I would like you to join me in taking this country back to greatness. Nixon, Born Again Democrat.

Mine are pretty easy -

Respect for each other - including, but not limited to values, ideas, opinions, beliefs etc, etc.

More often than not a family is only as strong as its weakest link. Everyone must put forth the effort for peace, tranquility, stability & harmony.
