Senator Obama is having a good week. http://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/2008/02/obama_wins_a_grammy_for_hope_b.phpBarack Obama topped a Clinton in another contest on Sunday — the Grammys.

The presidential candidate beat both former Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter to win best spoken word album for his audio version of his book "The Audacity Of Hope: Thoughts On Reclaiming The American Dream."

Clinton was nominated for his book "Giving: How Each of Us Can Change the World" and Carter for "Sunday Mornings in Plains: Bringing Peace to a Changing World." Also nominated were Maya Angelou and Alan Alda.

Obama won the same award in 2006 for the audio version of his 1995 memoir, "Dreams from My Father."

Sens. Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton are battling for the Democratic nomination for president; both have won key states, though Obama has the most recent wins, capturing the Louisiana primary and caucuses in Nebraska and Washington state on Saturday. Obama won the Maine caucus Sunday.

Good for him but I have always thought that 'Spoken Word' Grammy was ridiculous. The Grammys are about music not who's got the nicest speaking voice when reading their or someone else's book.

Eh don't mind me - I thought the entertainment of the Grammys was great but the winners - eh. I don't believe Amy Winehouse is the greatest thing since sliced bread and I do believe Kanye West is the biggest baby whiner on the planet.

Other than that as a country music fan, yes I love Vince Gill but there's no way he was best Country Artist out of that group.

Then again, I hate award shows so don't listen to me!

I totally agree...Amy Winehouse has a personality disorder and stinks as a singer...not too mention she's an ugly thing to look at! Any one of the other nominees were far better than her....she must be passing out favors to the judges to get that award! What a crock!
Fergie stinks too...and West is a big whiner and stinks as well!
Now old Tina Turner, at 68, did a pretty bang up job and Beonce and her were very entertaining. I wish Cher would have performed...I love that voice of hers.
She is coming back to Vegas in May and again in August...check out her website.

I think I'm going to obtain a copy of Amy Winehouse's CD and publicly piss on it on you tube!

Clinton has already won a grammy. I heard that on CNN. I don't listen to or read about awards shows, because I think there are politics involved too often.
