CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) - What are the odds? Leo Fiyalko, 92, a legally blind golfer with macular degeneration, scored a hole-in-one at a Clearwater country club.

Fiyalko's 110-yard shot with a five iron was his first hole-in-one. He's been golfing for 60 years.

"It's my first hole-in-one, and I never saw it," Fiyalko said. He said he was just trying to put his ball on the green.

A plaque at the Cove Cay Country Club now marks his achievement.

A blind golfer? Interesting. To be golfing for 60 years is true love of the sport, or just can't seem to get it out of his system.

Closest I ever came to playing golf was just hitting golf balls with a baseball bat. Those suckers will go a really long way when you smack'em with a Louiseville.

LOL....I have never played golf, unless you count minature golf...now that is fun...as long as when I hit the ball it doesn't fly off and bean someone in the head! :lmao

A blind golfer hits a hole in one, I love it. He's better than me on his worst day, of course. I can't even play minature golf. :D

You ought to try it..it's fun. I end up laughing so hard when I hit the ball and it ends up somewhere it shouldn't be, that tears are rolling down my cheeks.
