We are back from a wonderful, glorious, WARM vacation.Yesterday we were snorkeling in 85 degree weather off the white beaches of the Princess Cays!Today we were shocked back to reality by rain and temps in the mids 30's. We had a great stateroom aboard ship with a balcony.Great food was available 24 hrs a day.I am not sure if the bars ever closed ! The dining rooms were like going to 5 star restaurant every night .
Ocho Rios in Jamaica was our first stop, the poverty there was very obvious. In Jamaica the govt tells the people that there is" no problem " just a situation, that is why you hear all the Jamicans say " No problem mon" .
Georgetown in the Grand Caymans was our next stop. The people there are absoluteyly thrilled to see you, as tourism is there is their only means of employment and they keep the place immaculate ! We were to take a catamaran, but the winds were too high and they had to cancel the tour.
Cozumel was the next stop,if you like to haggle/bargain over prices, this is the place for you.The barkers are everywhere !
It's good to be back home !

There is a lot of poverty in Jamaica! We went to Dunns River Falls when we were there and some rain forest. We pretty much stuck with the tours there.
Sounds like you had a great time! Did ya swim with the Dolphins on Seven Mile Beach?

I remember when we were coming out of Jamaica...the waves were really high and people on the ship were barfing left and right. We'd be walking down the hall and people would be staggering cause of the waves being so high. It was very choppy waters when we were there.

We had one day when the sea was so rough they had to close one of the pools cuz it looked like constant tidal waves .

Along about this time of year I really start missing the sunshine and warm weather! Now I've got this urge to put on a swimsuit and bake in the sun for awhile. :lol
