Last night on Fox News’s The O’Reilly Factor, stand-in host Laura Ingraham was incredulous that Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT) had the audacity to speak Spanish during Thursday’s CNN presidential debate. “What’s with Chris Dodd speaking Spanish?” she asked. “Speaking Spanish!”
At one point in last night’s debate, Dodd said, “Bienvenidos tambien” (Welcome).

Actually, he said a lot more than welcome. I thought it was rude because most of the people listening, including me, could not understand what he said, and he didn't interpet it.

I liked the fact that he spoke Spanish with
better diction than that phoney Texan bush. :lol

I thought it was great that he was fluent in Spanish. I just resented it that he didn't bother to interpet what he said for those of us who didn't understand him.

Wasn't he answering the question of a Spanish speaking person that concerned the Latino community?

Personally, I was impressed.

There are almost 45 million Hispanics in the U.S.

I find it amusing that the conservatives and faux is upset by this. The gop lost 10% of the hispanic vote between thet 2004 and 2006 elections. At the 30% hispanic support level of the 2006 elections, there are a number of red states that will be blue in 2008
