I love Christmas and I don't get why people hate it coming early.

Because it means that people don't pay enough attention to Thanksgiving, our wonderful and uniquely American holiday which doesn't require months of shopping and buying, just days of cooking. :D

Gosh can't people do two things at once. :roll
I absolutely adore Thanksgiving, but it doesn't take a lot of prep. :shrug

Because the "Spirit" doesn't seem to come with it when it comes early.

:shrug I guess that is because people are so hung up on how wrong it is rather than just focusing on the reminder that Christmas is here again. :bounce

Not to mention how commercial it has become.

It loses it's magic when you see a lit Christmas tree in August

At our local Target, they had Christmas and Halloween decorations out at the same time. :devil

To me Christmas has lost no magic. I guess we can agree to disagree. I cannot be mad at Christmas EVER.

You misunderstand. I don't hate Christmas at anytime. Christmas is a joyous time. I hate it when people use it just to make a buck. Which is why they are putting out decorations and stuff now.

Well, I don't celebrate Christmas, so frankly, having to listen to Christmas music for three months can be a little... :frazzled.
I do, however, celebrate Thanksgiving. In FACT---Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE HOLIDAY. I love it.
I love planning the menu, I love cooking, I love planning my table setting, I love having close friends and family come over and do nothing all day but eat and watch football, I love the whole idea of being Thankful for all the good things we have, I love the story of Thanksgiving that showed two vastly different groups of people getting along (before some of those people decided to erradicate the other people and take their land) I love Thanksgiving dinner...
If I were on Death Row, and they asked me what I wanted as a last meal...it would be Thanksgiving dinner. :yum

Hey, maybe people should stop shopping for Christmas in October and November, or year round for that matter, and maybe people would stop trying to market it during that time. I buy during the season and support it then only.
Rev I see what you think. I just don't agree. It doesn't change anything about Christmas for me. I love to see the stuff anytime. I love the reminder of the season. I LOVE CHRISTMAS. It is my favorite holiday and I love the commercial and spiritual side of it.

Geez, who peed in your cranberry sauce? :lol
I do two things at once all the time. However, I can only enjoy one thing at a time.

I think it was the same person who peed on my Christmas tree. :lol
I guess I can enjoy more than one thing at a time. :shrug
