The gop is about to lose the governship of Ky and so it is time for dirty tricks. http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2007/11/6/112143/712It's been five years since the New Hampshire phone-jamming scandal which allowed Republican John Sununu beat Democratic candidate Jeanne Shaheen. Yet despite having taken place five years ago, questions remain. Sure, a couple of people went to jail, and sure, the RNC had to spend a few millions defending some of the architects of that dirty trick, but at the end of the day, they got themselves a Senate seat for six years. And that is priceless.

So it's no surprise that we'll continue to see such dirty tricks. Like today, in Kentucky:Someone in Kentucky has resorted to an almost certainly illegal campaign tactic in today's election for governor. A new robocall has gone out purporting to be from Fairness.org — the Web site of the Fairness Campaign, an actual gay rights organization in Kentucky — speaking with pride about the strong support of "the homosexual lobby" for Democratic gubernatorial nominee Steve Beshear.

"Beshear is receiving major support from out-of-state gay activists and has publicly committed to same-gender relationships," the man on the call says.

The Fairness Campaign has denied any part in the calls, and is urging people who have received the calls to report it to the authorities.
The full text of the robocall:For the first time in 20 years, the homosexual lobby proudly endorses a Kentucky candidate for governor: Steve Beshear. Beshear is receiving major support from out-of-state gay activists and has publicly committed to same-gender relationships, employment of more homosexuals in state government including teachers, and support for homosexual adoption of children.

If you believe these rights are fair please vote for Steve Beshear for governor. Visit Fairness.org.
Classy people, these Republicans. There's nothing they won't stoop to to desperately hold on to power.

And this is just a preview of coming attractions for next year's election.

Where are all these dirty tricks the Democrats doing at.

Bush has already started to smear Democrats. Accusing them of supporting the pink party. They do not. And no one gets picked on by them like Pelosi does. And saying that they have refused to fund the military. That is an outright lie. They have passed bills giving the military more money than Bush asked for. But, Bush has always been a liar.

BOTH parties resort to tricks. When Bush was running for President the first time the Dems started a smear campaign. It is just a part of politics.

Some other tricks not used in 2000
Ironically, today's Democrats are playing their own dirty tricks in an effort to win back a stolen Presidency. And just as ironically, their many justifications mimic Republican excuses for CREEP.

The New York Times reported on August 19 that the Democratic Party has gone to great lengths to prevent Ralph Nader from appearing on the 2004 Presidential ballot. Tactics range from formally challenging thousands of signatures collected by Nader to threatening Nader supporters with jail-time for collecting "fraudulent"” signatures. Local Democratic operatives - with the National Party's knowledge and blessing - unabashedly boast that they are “doing everything we can" to stop Nader. Democrats in Ohio, the Columbus Dispatch reported on August 30, are filing a legal challenge to Nader's candidacy.

In Virginia, the FBI was looking at complaints of voter intimidation in the hard-fought U.S. Senate race between Republican George Allen and Democrat Jim Webb. Some voters reported they got calls encouraging them to stay home on Election Day. Others said they were directed to the wrong polling place.

George Allen defeated George Allen by being a racist piece of human garbage.

That maybe so but that doesn't mean that the Dems didn't try and use dirty tricks.
