I'm actually on board with this, I will be cremated. We also cremate our pets. Our souls are gone once we die, so why pollute the earth?

"Cremation is considered a greener alternative to modern burials, especially with limited options in family or green cemeteries. But it also has environmental impacts, including pollution from crematories.

Maine crematories release about 20 pounds of mercury into the air each year, for example. The mercury, a neurotoxin that can get into the food chain, comes from amalgam dental fillings that most people have."

I'm going to be cremated, too. No viewing, etc... I don't understand people, like my Mum, who want to go all out, with fancy caskets, etc... :no

Me either. If I had relatives just determined to spend thousands of dollars on something, I'd tell them to take a trip on me.

a Halloween poem that seems suitable for this thread:

Buried here beneath this clay
Lies gardener John Arbothnaut Jay
Now in his simpeternal home
A constant source of high-grade loam

Me? Cremate me and sprinkle on my worst enemy? If I don't have one then sprinkle me on the garden.

Cremation followed by a Party that I have set $500 aside for to buy booze and food and the only way you can come is with a group and 1 driver who will stay cold sober!
