Those who voted for a party, question.

Let's say if a person of the Republican party is in physical danger and needed help, will you help them?

There is no truth left in politics anymore. There are only answers to the lies. The statesmen are gone. Bob Dole was the last of the true statesmen that was left. Lieberman is a good man, but both parties have turned on him also. Nobody wants to hear the truth, they only want to hear what they want to hear. I believe we are all good folks on this board but we cant even agree on what direction the sun sets. So how the heck do we expect our elected, or our appointed leaders to agree in DC????? Our Nation is in a mess, and God help us, I truly dont know or see how we are going to get out of it........

My first reaction to the question is it is insulting. I read posts from the right maligning the left for being compassionate. If that is a leftist trait, wouldn't the question be, would an individual help a Democrat? Seeing that comapassion is not a Republican trait.

My second reaction was that it has nothing to do with the original question.

IT IS A STUPID QUESTION!!

It's not so much a stupid question as a (probably unintentionally) devious question. Questions like are basically just asking "Are you a Democrat or a Republican?". Nobody is going to consider themselves part of the party that they think lies more. For myself, I voted for Dems as the bigger liars, though I think politicians in general tend to be liars, but I don't self-identify as a Republican... just more of an anti-Democrat.

Interesting description, Izdaari. I like it. :yep

I think that each party has people in it who lie. I don't think that being part of a political party makes on more susceptible to lying. Some people do it. They are on all sides of the fence.
