Three inspectors who have just returned from China testified yesterday in Congress. They said the food from China is a clear and present danger.

Less than 1% of the food from foreign countries is inspected and the inspectors have no mandate to force anyone to permit an inspection.

Wait..are they saying WE don't inspect the food? Or CHina doesn't inspect their imports?

We do not inspect the food. China doesn't either. The report said there are over a million private farms in China, and it just isn't possible to inspect them. They inspect less than 1%. And we inspect less than 1%. And our inspectors cannot force anyone to allow an inspection. Good system. Everyone profits except the people who have to eat the crap.
