Actually in some cultures it's quite acceptable to have an arranged marriage from birth.

And back in the day, down on the farm it wasn't unusual for girls to marry at 14 or so and start having children to help around the farm.

It's really not that unusual in our culture for girls to marry at a young age.

I don't know about that...I think it was rather common in days of old. Lots of women would die young giving birth back in the day. So I don't think it was that unusual for an older, established man to take on a younger wife to bear him children.

Of course, now life expectancies are higher; birth rates are higher due to better medical care; and overall society has grown and changed to value the individual--not just the 'tribe'.

In parts of the world where progress has been slow, these are still acceptable practices--but calling it pedophilia is ludicrous. This is just the way it is there.
