On NPR, they described the Thomas defense [at least in part] of being "it's okay to act like this because of the business we're in".

My son is an avid basketball fan and hates what the Dolans and Isiah Thomas has done to the Knicks. The Knicks should be one of the NBA's premier teams but Isiah has ruined the team.

One of my clients was going to buy a CBA team but the deal died when Isiah bought the CBA (this is the farm league for the NBA) and proceeded to ruin this league in record time.

Isiah is a disaster on a number of levels including the fact that he is clearly guilty of sexual harrassment.
