We have five FABULOUS moderators here at TPA:
Saguaro
MW
kaaryn
cassandra
Yellowdogtexan
Their job is to make sure the moderated section of the board is rated PG-13. They have total authority to edit and remove posts that violate the TOS or the posting guidelines.

The moderators are each responsible for their own forums. You can see who moderates which forum on the main page: http://www.forums.thepoliticalasylum.com/index.php
They are charged with giving out rep and points to people who are active and excellent posters. They are charged with giving out negative rep on posts that go against our TOS or posting guidelines.
Moderators do not have the ability or the authority to ban anyone.
Moderators are doing this work without any compensation, so I for one am very grateful to them for their help.
If any conversation in the unmoderated section gets too heated, the mods have been directed to move those threads to the UNMODERATED section of the board.
If you do not think that you can post in moderated forum because you have a personality conflict with that particular mod, then don't post in their forum.
MODERATORS HAVE NO AUTHORITY IN THE UNMODERATED SECTION. They are free to play along with their chosen teams (L or C), and you are free to rep (negative or positive) them for unmoderated posts and threads. You are free to gift avatars to moderators, and they are subject to being put in The Big House by vote, the same as any other poster.
