3. Speed

Well they are square little computers that can be carried around.

But it actually depends on what you need it for.

Dell or HP (and not the Compaq by HP). When it comes to laptops I would recommend Pentium processors vs. AMD because the cooling technology is better with Pentium and laptops tend to get hot. As far as processor speed and memory goes it really depends on what you are using it for. If it's just for everyday stuff a 2+ Ghz processor is plenty but I would advise no less than 1GB of RAM. Just my :twocents.

I'm looking around at all my options because I want another laptop--a Windows based machine.
