Who comes to mind when you see this meaningless stat. :mw

Size matters: When asked "Which car is a sign that a man is overcompensating for his fragile ego or physical shortcomings?" fully 30 percent of respondents instantly said the Hummer,

Who cares! I am what I am, said Popeye the sailor man.

In truth it proves that there is a sucker born every minute.

Madison Ave. is earning their keep.

April, you must care to respond so quicklly.
Got a problem? (totally kidding) :angel
As I indicated it is a meaningless survey. I just wondered if the same governor came to mind for others.
A certain female that I know came to mind also.

Matt,
I find it curious that the endowment aspect is applied to vehicles. Does that mean every big rig driver is impotent? I drive a fairly large truck for my work.
I suppose for me I see so much waste in what people buy and do. Most is so they can be accepted by others. Are we so insecure that the mere ownership or use of a product will make us someone else or more desirable to know or be around?
What a sad comment on our society!

Hilary.

I don't know a Hilary who owns a Hummer but if I did I might try to make it apply. :ohyeah

April, I know that our vehicles often represent our needs for work or family, but, yes, I think our daily vehicle or dream vehicle is to impress.
We are saying different things, of course.
Right now it could be a symbol of frugality re: the environment, resentment or fighting back against big oil,~
or like my little Firebird that was a dream to drive, a thing of beauty that quickened my heartbeat when I looked at it and one of the most dependable cars I ever owned (but I didn't know about the dependablity when I bought it.) It was sassy! :electric

Maybe you could be both. :lol
But you probably just like to drive a car that makes you feel powerfully good. Your reasons would be very personal but they are there ~ Maybe like a woman who just feels better about everything if her hair looks good. :mw

But I still thought of the governator when I read about the Hummer. :ohyeah
