Bush reclaims powers after colonoscopy

Doctors removed five small polyps from President Bush's colon on Saturday after he temporarily transferred the powers of his office for two hours to Vice President Dick Cheney under the rarely invoked 25th Amendment.

The polyps, or growths in his large intestine, were found during a routine colon cancer scan. They all measured less than a centimeter and none "appeared worrisome," White House spokesman Scott Stanzel said.

This is certainly good news for George. I'm glad all turned out OK for him.

I can't tell you how glad I am that we are kept apprised of Bush's ass and colon. This started in the Eisenhower admin., when several days following a heart attack, we were informed that Ike had had a bowel movement. That was a banner day! And it forever changed how the press dealt with our presidents.

I don't want to know the details of the intimate lives of the POTUS's. I actually feel sympathy for them. Have they no right to privacy?:blush2
