I'd like to think that we would get a grip, but it would be unusual. The haters are always out there, but much of this involves public places and institutions. I would not care to be a Muslim in Europe or the US today.

If we allow this witch hunt to become standard, we will drive ordinary Muslims to become what we are afraid they may be. Hateful, anti-Americans, and anti-Christians. We should be intelligent enough to know that the majority of Islamists' are rational, peaceful people. The Klan exist, but few Christians would appreciate being defined by them.:doh
